BARFIGHT is an accumulation of events that include Moot-Court, Advocacy, Cross-Examination, Alternate Dispute Resolution/Negotiation & Draft-Off. The Moot-Court is in collaboration with the Queen Mary Mooting Society. Participating universities will be scored per event and the university with the highest total points at the end of the fest will be crowned the winner of BARFIGHT 2K20 - and be awarded exciting prizes.
The event was held online on the 17th of October 2020 and the Semi-Finals and Finals were held on the 24th of October 2020, on Zoom to help maintain social distancing. Keep your eyes peeled for BARFIGHT 2K21!
"BARFIGHT 2K20 was every bit of what I imagined, and more. The biggest take away from all this is 'Adaptation'. From the onset of the event, we as organisers had to adapt. We had to adapt to conduct this event during a global pandemic and we had to adapt to accommodate the overwhelming amount of participating universities and the resources that followed to make this event possible. After the finals of BARFIGHT, we as organisers were pleased to see how much the participants have adapted too. From the prelims to the finals, the amount of improvement seen in the participants and the level of competition we witnessed was scintillating. I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude to the participants, judges, sponsors and committee members who made BARFIGHT 2K20 a reality."
